Will I keep the same telephone number when I move?
If your current prefix is 851 or 854 your number will remain exactly the same. If your current prefix is 870 your number will change. All numbers with the prefix 870 are owned by the Interchurch organization under a special, long-term contract and can not be transferred out of the Interchurch system. A committee is actively working on reassigning the 870 numbers. You will be provided with an updated directory as soon as it's available.
Parking
I do not currently have a University parking space. Can I apply for parking?
Officers of administration in grades 14 and above who live outside the borough of Manhattan are eligible for commuter parking privileges in the University’s parking facilities. As University parking is limited, we suggest that you apply as soon as possible. Parking applications are available online at http://www.columbia.edu/cu/ire/parking.html#app. The University Parking Committee generally meets monthly to review the parking wait list and make assignments based on the availability of parking spaces.
University parking is available in the IAB garage located at West 118th Street between Amsterdam and Morningside Drive under the School of International and Public Affairs at $158.62 per month or in the 560 Riverside Drive garage located at West 125th Street and Riverside Drive at $181.11 per month. Should you wish to be placed on the parking wait list for either facility, please let us know.
I currently have a University parking space in the Morningside area. Can I keep it?
Yes. If you already have a University parking space, you may keep it. However, please note that parkers at Interchurch must be Interchurch tenants. Therefore, if you are moving from Interchurch, you will not longer be eligible to park there.
